NEW HOPE COUNSELING MINISTRY
The vision of New Hope Counseling Ministry began with the desire to return Christian-based counseling back to the church and provide:
- a counseling ministry that was Christ-centered and affordable
- a ministry that was able to reach both the church family and the family within the community
- a ministry that focused on healing the individual and family of their emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and realtional problems
The goal of New Hope Counseling Ministry is to provide a safe and confidential setting to enable individuals, couples, and families to cope and to heal emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

New Hope Counseling Ministry meets the counseling needs of our church and our community by offering both professional counseling and lay counseling through support groups and mentoring situations. We place a high value on community.
Professional Counseling
Professional counseling is offered through New Hope Counseling Ministry for people who are in need of becoming mentally, spiritually, and emotionally healthy.
Our theory of counseling is that the Bible contains principles, insights, and appropriate methods for understanding and resolving the challenges people face in today's world. Counseling at New Hope Counseling Ministry utilizes Biblical principles along with the appropriate psychological interventions and techniques to assist you to overcome difficulties and attain a better quality of life.
At New Hope Counseling Ministry, we seek to help individuals, couples, and families through our counseling methods to identify actions which are not in agreement with those set forth in the Bible. Then a plan will be developed to encourage them through a process of growth and change.
Professional counseling is fee based; sliding scale and scholarship appointments are available. All professional counselors have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy. Because our counseling center is ministry based, our fees are substantially lower than the industry standard.
Premarital Counseling
Premarital counseling offers a Christ-centered approach of marriage. Our goal is to help couples get off to a good start, giving guidance designed to prevent serious problems and divorce.
New Hope Community Counseling desires to help prepare couples for a lasting marriage through application of Scriptures focused on the marriage commitment (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:6). All couples who schedule their wedding at New Hope Community Church are required to satisfactorily complete premarital counseling.
